I want to be Bob Goff. If you have 10 minutes a day to spare…or every other day…or every week. I strongly invite and encourage you to read his book, Love Does. In it, Bob shares the idea that loving others is the right way to live. He shares his story of becoming a Christian and how he’s chosen to best connect with God. He strongly believes that love is not just feelings and thoughts – it is action! His story is worth reading. Twice.

I would not even know where to start to describe all the emotions and thoughts that this book has brought to me – each time I sit down and read it. However, along with highly encouraging you to read it… I’ll share my four favorite quotes from the book below.
The biggest lesson of all from Bob is that… “simply put: love does.”

“I used to be afraid of failing at something that really mattered to me, but now I’m more afraid of succeeding at things that don’t matter.”

“…love is never stationary.”

“You don’t need a plan; you just need to be present.”

“Failure is just part of the process, and it’s not just okay; it’s better than okay. God doesn’t want failure to shut us down. God didn’t make it a three-strikes-and-you’re-out sort of thing. It’s more about how God helps us dust ourselves off so we can swing for the fences again. And all of this without keeping a meticulous record of our screw-ups.”
